10-13-21 THOUGHTS

We need always to remember our confidence in the Lord.  Share with me.
Gal 2:20   I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Gal 6:14   But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Php 1:19-25    for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20  according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22  But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. 23  But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; 24  yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. 25  Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,
Rom 8:35-39    Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36  Just as it is written, "FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED."  37  But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38  For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,  39  nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1Cor 3:21-23    So then let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you,  22  whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, 23  and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.
2Cor 5:1-8     For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2  For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, 3  inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. 4  For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 5  Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 6  Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord —  7  for we walk by faith, not by sight — 8  we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
Rev 14:13     And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’" "Yes," says the Spirit, "so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them."

My Prayer:
We know O Lord that where life ends, your promise of heaven begins.  We long for that rest.
Renew your Spirit within us and that will be enough.  Help us to wait and serve and love until the best is ours.    In Jesus name          Amen
